
Men's Hoops Opens MAC Play Wednesday Night At Miami (OH)

BUFFALO, NY - The Bulls will begin Mid-American Conference play on Wednesday night in a familiar spot, as the road team, as they head to Miami (OH) to face the RedHawks. Both teams are coming off victories in their last game.
UB has won two straight after defeating Cornell 92-73 on Saturday behind a career-high 33 points from Shannon Evans, who is now second on the team in scoring at 16.0 points per game and leads the Bulls with 65 assists. Junior Justin Moss still leads the Bulls and the entire MAC in scoring (16.4) and rebounding (9.4). Freshman Lamonte Bearden is averaging 9.3 points per game and had a career-high 10 assists in his last game.
Miami is 5-8 on the year and has also won two straight after beating UMKC on Saturday, 66-61. Eric Washington leads the RedHawks at 13.2 points per game and Geovonie McKnight is second on the team at 10.5 points per game. Chris Bryant leads the team in rebounding at 4.2 per contest.
Miami (OH) leads the all-time series 22-12, but the Bulls have won three straight meetings, including the last two at Millett Hall. Last year, UB defeated Miami by an average of 17.5 points in the two meetings.
