
Bulls Host MAC Foe Northern Illinois On Wednesday Night

BUFFALO, NY - The Bulls continue Mid-American Conference play with their first two MAC games at Alumni Arena, beginning Wednesday night vs. Northern Illinois. Like six other teams in the league, UB and NIU are both split the opening week of conference play.
UB had its three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday at Western Michigan with a 78-68 loss. Junior Justin Moss continues to lead the team and the conference in both scoring (17.4) and rebounding (9.7). Sophomore Shannon Evans is second on the team in scoring at 16.4 points per game, while junior Jarryn Skeete made his return to lineup on Saturday and he is in double figures at 10.2 points per contest.
NIU had also won three in a row before losing 67-65 to Kent State on Saturday. Darrell Bowie has missed the last two games due to injury, but leads the Huskies at 12.5 points per game. Aaric Armstead is second on the team in scoring at 10.5 ppg and Jordan Threloff adds 10.0 points and a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game.
UB leads the all-time series 16-13 and has won nine straight meetings between the two schools and 13 of the last 14. NIU last won in Buffalo during the 2002-03 season.
