BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling coaching staff will be hosting instructional summer camps on July 6-10. The Bulls will be holding camps for 8-12 grade wrestlers along with another camp for middle school wrestlers.
The senior high intensive technique camp meets the needs of all wrestlers entering grades 8-12, from beginner through advanced levels. Campers are grouped according to experience and skill level. This group concentrates on technique instruction and competition. Three sessions daily consisting of technique instruction, drills, and competition; including special sessions in the evening comprised of competition, nutrition, strength training, and leadership.
The junior technique camp will emphasize competition for the middle school wrestler, often overlooked in typical High School/Junior High team camps. Camp wrestlers will train as a small group with a UB Wrestling Staff member. They will be guaranteed 12 duals, but different from many team camps, the teams which could be composed of junior high/middle school teams, clubs, or individuals, will be trained in a small group as a team by a UB Wrestling Staff member in addition to competing to maximize their development.
The cost of the camp is $270 for a commuter camper or $360 for a resident camper. Registration for the camps will begin on Sunday, July 6 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Fargo Quad Entertainment Lounge.
