#9 Missouri Tigers Top Buffalo Wrestling, 41-0

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Facing their third ranked opponent in the last four duals, the University at Buffalo wrestling team (2-14, 0-6 MAC) fell on the road at #9 Missouri on Friday night at the Hearnes Center by the score of 41-0.
The Bulls were not able to generate a victory on Friday for the first time since facing #1 Iowa on December 12.
The Bulls had their best chance to pick up points at 133 pounds as Justin Farmer fought hard for the Bulls against his opponent. In a hard fought battle, farmer fell in the final period to Matt Manley by the score of 5-2, giving the Tigers the early 6-0 lead. Trailing 3-2 entering the third period, Farmer started off strong with a takedown to make the score 3-2 but he could not get any closer in the final minute.
The only other Bulls to lose by decision on the night were Max Soria at 125 pounds and Tony Lock at 184 pounds.
Soria had a tough match against Barlow McGhee at 125 pounds as he was defeated by decision, 11-5. Soria was not able to prevent McGhee from getting the early lead as he took the 6-2 advantage into the second period. Soria was outscored 4-2 in the second period and was held scoreless in the final period as he fell to the standout freshman.
Tony Lock was denied his third straight win on Friday night as he was defeated by the score of 6-0 by Cody Johnston of Missouri. Lock battled hard for the Bulls as he trailed 2-0 after the first period and 3-0 after the second period but he was not able to gain any points in his defeat. The sophomore is tied for the team lead with 16 victories on the season for the Bulls.
The Bulls will return to the mat on Sunday morning as they travel to take on Southern Illinois-Edwardsville for an 11 am dual.
