Buffalo vs. Canisius - Big 4 Basketball Classic Game Notes
BUFFALO, NY - After traveling over 7,000 miles during the last 10 days and coming out of the trip with a 2-1 record, the Bulls will return closer to home as they face Canisius on Saturday afternoon downtown at the First Niagara Center in the second game of the Big 4 Basketball Classic.
UB is coming off an 80-64 win at Grand Canyon and is 3-1 on the season with its only loss coming at #1 Kentucky. Junior Justin Moss leads the Bulls at 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, one of three players averaging double figures in points. Sophomore Shannon Evans is coming off back-to-back 20-point games and is currently averaging 16.5 points per game, while junior Jarryn Skeete is averaging 11.8 points per contest.
Canisius is 2-2 on the year following a 67-60 loss at Cornell. Zach Lewis leads the Griffs at 13.5 points per game. Jamal Reynolds averages a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game.
Canisius leads the all-time series 27-15 and have won two straight games over UB, including last year, 69-55, downtown at FNC.
