
Blue Team Wins Annual Blue/White Wrestle-Off, 21-9

BUFFALO, NY - The State University of New York, Buffalo wrestling team hosted their annual Blue/White wrestle-off on Thursday night at Alumni Arena with the Blue team defeating the White by the score of 21-9.
"Overall it was a great night with a nice crowd at Alumni Arena," said second-year head coach John Stutzman. "We are excited to finally start the season and see where we are at this time of the year."
The Bulls had four freshman pick up victories in their first appearance on the mat in front of the home crowd while six returners downed their opponents.
Senor captain Max Soria looked good as he returned to UB for his fifth season, coming up with a 7-4 decision victory over Bryan Lantry at 125-pounds. Tyler Rill looked dominant at 174-pounds as he defeated Jarred Lux by decision, 7-3. Redshirt freshman Joe Ariola had a strong showing at 197-pounds as he dominanted James Benjamin, defeating him by decision, 8-2.
