
Watson Signs To Play Pro Ball in Germany

BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo men's basketball player Tony Watson has signed to play professionally in Germany. Watson, who graduated in May with a degree in management, will play Pro A basketball for the Bayer Giants.
Watson had his best season as a senior in 2012-13. The West Palm Beach, FL native ranked second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.3 points per game. He made 41.6 percent of his threes, the best among all MAC players with at least 50 three pointers made. He also led the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.4) and was second in average minutes (34.8). He finished his career fourth in school history in three-point field goal percentage (39.6) and tied for fifth in career three-pointers made (132).
Watson becomes the 21st UB men's basketball player since 2000 to sign a contract to play basketball professionally.
