
Buffalo Wrestling Heads To The Northeast Duals On Saturday

BUFFALO, NY - Following another strong showing at the New York State Collegiate Championships, the University at Buffalo wrestling team will head to Troy, NY to compete in the Northeast Duals. There will be 14 schools at the Northeast Duals, including two ranked opponents, Virginia and North Carolina.
The Bulls recorded a seventh place team finish last Sunday at the New York State Collegiate Championships, a field that included 27 schools from within New York State. Lead the way for Buffalo was sophomore Tony Lock who recorded his second straight second place finish. He dominated his first three matches of the afternoon before losing in the final to a wrestler from Cornell, the #6 ranked team in the nation. Eight total Bulls earned a top-8 finish for the tournament including transfer Nick Flannery who finished third in 141 pounds. Flannery led the Bulls with four victories on the afternoon in his second straight impressive performance.
A pair of newcomers for the Bulls have recorded the most overall wins this season, as Flannery has a 7-2 overall record while Bloomsburg transfer, Rrok Ndokaj, has achieved a 6-3 overall record so far this season.
The Northeast Duals will be the Bulls last tune up before Buffalo heads to Kent State to take on the Flashes in their first dual match of the young season on December 7.
