
Bulls Prepare for Tuesday Game With Robert Morris

BUFFALO, NY - Following a ten day break since its last game, the Buffalo men's basketball team will play host to Robert Morris Tuesday night at Alumni Arena. Tomorrow's game against the Colonials will tip at 7 pm.
In its last game out, Buffalo had five players in double figures for scoring as it cruised to an 80-60 win over West Virginia Wesleyan in its home opener. Javon McCrea led the Bulls with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Xavier Ford bolstered the bench contributors with 14 points on 6-9 shooting from the field in just 19 minutes. The UB defense allowed just nine two-point field goals to WVW, while the offense would make 30-56 total attempts (54 percent).
For the season, the Bulls are averaging 73 points per game, and have three players who average ten points or more per game (with McCrea averaging 21.3). Joshua Freelove is the first newcomer to average in double figures through the first three game in the team's MAC history, posting 13 points per game. McCrea is riding a 25 game streak of scoring in double figures coming into Tuesday's game, and is now sitting in fourth on the program's career scoring list.
Robert Morris enters Tuesday night with a 3-3 overall record, with all three losses coming in the past four games. The Colonials have opened with a demanding schedule, playing seven of its first eight games of the season on the road. On Saturday, the team lost 87-74 at Cleveland State after allowing six different Vikings players to hit double figures in scoring. The team, led by fourth-year head coach Andrew Toole, is averaging 75.2 points per game but is allowing the opposition to score over 78 points per game and convert more than 45 percent of its shots. Karvel Anderson leads the offense with 18.2 points per game, and Lucky Jones is averaging 11.8 points and a team-high 4.7 rebounds per game.
