
McCrea and Watt Named to NABC All-District Team

BUFFALO, NY – Javon McCrea and Mitchell Watt have been named to the NABC All-District Team. McCrea was named to the first team, while Watt earned second-team honors. The teams were voted on by head coaches nearly a month ago. It is another accolade for the duo who were both named to the All-MAC First Team last week.
McCrea is averaging 14.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, while shooting a team-best 57.1 percent from the field. He ranks in the top six in the MAC in five different categories, including scoring (6th), rebounding (5th), field goal percentage (2nd), blocked shots (4th) and offensive rebounds (2nd).
Watt, the 2012 MAC Player of the Year, is averaging 16.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 blocked shots per game – all career highs. He ranks in the top four in the conference in five different categories, including scoring (1st), rebounding (4th), field goal percentage (4th), blocked shots (2nd) and defensive rebounds (4th). He is averaging 25.5 points over the last four games.
By being named to the All-District team, both players are now eligible for All-America consideration to be announced on March 22.
Buffalo will play at American University in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament on Wednesday night.
