UB Rowing Hosts First Race on Saturday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo rowing team will host its first race of the season on Saturday morning against Canisius and D'Youville. The race will start at 9:00 am on Tonawanda Creek.
It will be the first race of the season for a UB squad that shows a lot of promise after finishing second at last year's Colonial Athletic Association championship. This season, the Bulls are looking to win back the CAA title they earned in 2010.
It is homecoming weekend at UB and as part of the festivities alumni are invited to the race and will have a chance to row as well.
The Bulls will also christen their newest shell named for head coach Rudy Wieler.
