Domonic Cook Signs Free Agent Contract With Buffalo Bills

BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo defensive back standout Domonic Cook is staying in Western New York as he signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday afternoon. Cook was a 2010 first-team All-MAC selection splitting time at both the cornerback and safety positions.
Cook was one of 19 undrafted rookies to sign with the Bills and joins former UB and St. Joe's teammate Naaman Roosevelt in training camp. Cook also becomes the second UB defensive back this year to enter an NFL camp as Josh Thomas was drafted in the fifth round by the Dallas Cowboys back in April.
Cook finished his UB career second in school history with six fumble recoveries and third in school history with 36 career passes defended. He is tied for ninth in school history with 10 interceptions, none more important than his interception late in the fourth quarter of UB's MAC Championship win over Ball State in 2008.
In his senior season alone, Cook had six interceptions, which were fifth-most in the nation. He had a streak of at least one turnover captured in five straight games and finished fifth on the team in total tackles with 58.
