
Bulls Add Recruit to Defensive Backfield

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo football team has signed defensive back Matthew Thomas-Quick to a scholarship agreement head coach Jeff Quinn has announced.
Thomas-Quick is a 5-11, 165 recruit from Atlanta, GA where he played cornerback and wide receiver at Westlake High School for head coach Greg Minnis. Westlake is the same high school that produced Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton and NFL cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.
Thomas-Quick is a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Westlake. He earned All-Region Honorable Mention honors his senior season. He also earned the team's Most Improved and Character Awards.
"Matthew is a fine young man who fits in with what we are doing here at Buffalo. He is an excellent student and a very good athlete and we are excited to welcome him to our program."
Thomas-Quick is very involved in his community as he does a lot of charity work in the Atlanta area. He is a solid student who graduated in the top 15 percent of his class.
