Brittany Hedderson Named MAC East Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY - UB senior Brittany Hedderson was named the MAC East Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Hedderson helped lead the Bulls to victory in their season opener on Friday, one of just three MAC teams to win on the opening weekend.
Hedderson finished with a double‐double of 19 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Niagara. The only returning starter from a year ago, Hedderson reached a new career high with her rebounding total and added five assists in 39 minutes. Her scoring, rebounding and assist totals were all game highs.
This is the first itme Hedderson has been honored as Player of the Week and the first time that someone other than Kourtney Brown or Jessica Fortman has been honored since 2007.
The Bulls remain on the road tonight when they face Duquesne. Tip off is set for 7:00 pm.
