Bulls Fall to Ohio in Conference Series Opener, 5-1

ATHENS, OH - The University at Buffalo baseball team fell to Ohio, 5-1, in the conference weekend series opener on Friday afternoon at Bob Wren Stadium.
After trailing the Bobcats 1-0 through two complete innings,
the Bulls tied the contest in the top of the third. Facing two
outs, senior third baseman Brad
Cochrane belted his fifth home run of the season to tie
the contest at 1-1.
To close out the game, the Bobcats scored four unanswered runs to secure their opening victory in game one of the series.
Senior center fielder Adam Skonieczki led Buffalo at the plate, going 3-for-4.
Starter Chaz Mye (3-6) recorded the Bulls' loss in 6.1 innings of work, including a pair of strikeouts.
The Bulls (20-24, 6-13 MAC) will square off against Ohio in game two of the conference weekend series versus the Bobcats on Saturday, May 8 with the first pitch at 3:00 pm.
