Meili Carpenter Wins MAC Championship in One-Meter Diving

OXFORD, OH - The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team finished day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships. Senior diver Meili Carpenter won the MAC Championship in the one-meter diving event, finishing with a score of 301.45.
UB's 200 freestyle relay team started the night in impressive
fashion, as Jessie

Palma, Karly
Moore and Caroline
Simmonsbroke a school record and picked up fifth-place points
in a time of 1:32.92, bettering the old record of 1:33.83 set last
season. Jordan
Deren kicked off the individual events with an
eighth-place finish and lifetime best in the 500 freestyle,
finishing in a time of 4:53.82, two seconds better than her
previous lifetime best and nearly 10 seconds better than her best
time of the season.
Carpenter finished off a perfect season in the one-meter diving event, winning the MAC Championship with a score of 301.45. Carpenter was the only diver to finish with over 300 points.
The Bulls end day two in fifth place with 156 points. Toledo continues to lead the way with 260 points. Competition continues through Saturday.
