- Murchie's transformational financial gifts over the years have allowed UB to upgrade the practice facility in Alumni Arena, build new offices and meeting spaces in UB Stadium, construct the Murchie Family Fieldhouse which opened in 2019 as well as the state-of-the-art Brittany Murchie Mulla Sports Performance Center which opened in 2024
- It is a lifetime achievement recognition for Murchie and his family for what they have meant to UB Athletics
