Trevor Scott began his career on the UB football team as a tight end but moved to defensive end in 2006 and his career flourished. In only two seasons playing defensive end, Scott still ranks fourth in program history with 19 career sacks. His 10 sacks in 2007 rank fifth in program history for a single season, second only to Khalil Mack in the Bulls' FBS era. The two-time team captain was named All-MAC in 2007. Following his UB career, Scott was selected by the Raiders in the NFL Draft. His five sacks in 2008 tied for the most by an NFL rookie.
