Thomas A. Jobin

Thomas was a two-time NCAA All-American at the Division III level when he placed fifth in 1983-84, then he was runner-up the following season while competing at 177 pounds
In the NCAA title match as a senior tri-captain, he was tied 4-4, despite a severe ankle sprain, but eventually dropped a 7-4 decision that ended his UB career with an overall record of 80-24, 27-7 in his final campaign
Thomas won his weight calss in the SUNY Championship just prior to the 1985 NCAAs, besting the defending NCAA Champion in the process, and was named the event's outstanding wrestler
He made an immdeiate impact as a true freshman when he finished second in three major tournaments (including the SUNY Championships) and was third in another
His work ethic, leadership and determination led him to being named tri-captain as a sophomore, a season in which he was plagued with back problems
Thomas rebounded as a junior, winning his weight class in the Cornell Open, he was third in the State Tournament, finished 24-7 overall and 12-0 in dual meets and led the Bulls in five statistical categories
