Dr. and Mrs. Edmond J. Gicewicz Family UB Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees
Rielly, Michael F.

Michael F. Rielly
- Induction:
- 2008
- Health care provider, confidant, surrogate parent and friend to scores of UB student-athletes over a 26-year career.
- Possessing the perfect demeanor for the position, Mike also served as assistant and adjunct professor of physical therapy and exercise science, preparing many student trainers who now have careers of their own.
- Began his career in Clark Hall and consistently went the extra miles for student-athletes; always the first in the training room there and in Alumni Arena and the last to leave in his 24-7 position.
- There were no favorites, the 3rd string left tackle received the same care and diligence that a starting point guard received and Mike also gained the absolute trust of coaches, who depended on him for input and advice.
- Although his early work was with Division III athletes, the care he and his staff provided was never less than Division I.
