Ryan Hagen joined the University at Buffalo Athletic Department in August of 2023. In June of 2024, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. At UB, Hagen is the primary contact for Cross Country, Track & Field and Swimming & Diving.Â
Hagen is a 2022 graduate of St. John Fisher University where he received a B.S. in Sport Management and a minor in Communications. He then graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2023 where he received his M.S in Public Relations with a concentration in Sports Media.Â
Hagen has experience working for the Syracuse football team, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Kansas City Chiefs, Rochester Red Wings and Buffalo Bisons.Â
