Diamond joined the Student-Athlete Success team in August 2024 as the Tutor Coordinator and Academic Advisor for Swimming and Diving, Volleyball, and Wrestling.Â
Before returning to UB, Diamond served as the Athletic Success Coach at D’Youville University from June 2022 to August 2024. During his two years he was as the primary advisor for all 13 teams, around 285 student-athletes. While there he was also a member of the SAAC Advisory Committee and implemented post college initiatives. Before leaving he was promoted to Athletic Academic Success Coordinator after leading the program to a 98% ASR, placing them 3rd in the country across Division 2 programs.Â
Prior to D’Youville, Diamond served as the Director of Guidance for WNY Maritime Charter School in South Buffalo. In this role he managed class progression, college applications, mock college/job interviews, SAT and ASVAB testing, resume building, job placement, and future plan exploration. While there he also was an Assistant Varsity Football Coach helping their high school team win two Class B Sectional Championships.Â
Prior to WNY Maritime, Diamond was a Graduate Assistant for Purdue Athletics Student Support Services in the Drew Brees Academic Training Center. As a member of the football academics staff, he assisted in their football program achieving record high GPAs 4 consecutive semesters. He also served on their SAAC Advisory Committee and the Graduate School Education Council in marketing. Diamond graduated from Purdue University with a Masters in Curriculum Studies and Instructions in June 2020.Â
Originally, Diamond is from Watertown, N.Y.  and was a member of the UB football team from 2013-2016 as a preferred walk-on. He would become a starter on all four special teams' units after making the travel roster his redshirt freshman year. He graduated with his Bachelors in Communication in June 2017.Â
