Derek Spann is in his second season as an assistant coach after a decorated career as a UB wrestler.
Spann was a two-time national qualifier and finished his career as Buffalo's all-time leader in career dual wins with 53. He also holds the school record for career 4-point near falls with 51.
A native of Boonville, NY, Spann graduated from UB with a degree in geographic information science.
