Joe Licata begins his second season on the UB staff. He has been elevated to senior offensive analyst and director of high school and alumni relations after serving as an offensive analyst in 2021.
It's a homecoming for Licata who is a graduate of UB and is the school's all-time leader in career passing yards (9,485) and career passing touchdowns (76). He played for the Bulls from 2012-15.
Following graduation, Licata signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent the preseason with the Bengals.
From 2017-20 he was the head football coach and athletic director at Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School. He helped lead the Tigers to a win in the Monsignor Martin Class B Final in 2019.
