Hoof Prints: Originally recruited as a wide receiver, but moved to cornerback in 2011 and played quite well... his father played football at MAC member Ball State...staff feels he has great ball skills and explosive athletic ability...major is early childhood education.
Junior (2013): Developed into a lock-down defender, starting all 13 games at cornerback… made 32 tackles (27 solo), a team-best three interceptions and one fumble recovery… recorded an interception that he returned 22-yards against Kent State (10/26) and also made one solo stop… Racked up a season-high six solo tackles against Western Michigan (10/12)… Scooped up a Khalil Mack forced fumble and returned it 11 yards in the Bulls victory over Miami (11/19)… Finished the game against Eastern Michigan with two tackles and an interception… Had nine games of two or more tackles.
Sophomore (2012): Continued to develop into a lock-down corner, making 39 tackles (22 solo) and 10 passes defended... his four interceptions for the season ranked second in the MAC, behind only teammate Najja Johnson (with five)... totaled seven tackles (four solo) in the season opener at Georgia (9/1)... made five tackles and broke up a pair of passes on the road at Ohio (10/6)... ... became the first player in Buffalo’s Division I-A era to record three interceptions in a game, helping UB to a 29-24 win over Western Michigan (11/10)... made an interception and walked the sideline tightrope to return it 23 yards for a touchdown against Toledo (10/27)... he was named the MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the WMU game... he was one of seven players in the nation to have three interceptions in a game in 2012.
Redshirt Freshman (2011): Earned the starting cornerback position in the preseason and proved to be the team’s most important newcomers... led all cornerbacks on the team with 54 tackles (34 solo)... led the team with two interceptions and also had four pass breakups... had a season-high seven solo tackles and also recorded a sack against Tennessee (10/1)... picked off a pass in the end zone to preserve a 38-37 victory for Buffalo against East division rival Ohio (10/8)... broke up two passes and made nine total tackles against Northern Illinois (10/22)... ended the season with an interception with three tackles against Bowling Green (11/25).
Freshman (2010): Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
High School: Selected to play in the Broward County All-Star game after recording 31 receptions for 500 yards and six touchdowns as a senior…possesses explosive speed and has been a two-time state qualifier in the 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams at Everglades…helped lead his team to an undefeated regular season while claiming district and regional titles…an excellent student, he also excelled as a kick returner…UB coaches love his speed and elusiveness, feeling he is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.
