Junior (2017): Had a breakout season in his first year as a starting defensive end… ranked third on the team in tackles with 73 and second on the team with seven tackles for loss and four sacks… named All-MAC Third Team… had eight tackles at Army (Sept. 9)… had six tackles and a sack at Kent State (Sept. 30) and against Western Michigan (Oct. 7)… had seven tackles against Northern Illinois (Oct. 14)… had five tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery against Bowling Green (Nov. 7)… had a season-high 13 tackles and a sack at Ball State (Nov. 16) en route to earning MAC East Defensive Player of the Week honors… had seven tackles and returned a fumble for a touchdown against Ohio (Nov. 24).
Sophomore (2016): Played in all 12 games as a reserve defensive end… of his 18 tackles on the season, five were for loss… had a season-high four tackles (all solo) and a tackle for loss at Northern Illinois (10/22)… had three tackles (all solo) and a tackle for loss at Ohio (11/3)… also registered a tackle for loss against Boston College (10/1), Ball State (10/15) and Miami (OH) 11/12).
Freshman (2015): Played in 11 games as a reserve defensive end as a true freshman… had 13 tackles, including three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks on the season… had three tackles against Albany (9/5)… had two tackles against both Bowling Green (10/3) and Central Michigan (10/17)… had three tackles and half a sack against Ohio (10/24)… had two tackles and a sack at Kent State (11/5).
High School: Played for head coach Tim Conley at Southfield High School… had 49 tackles, including 23 tackles for loss and 13 sacks his senior season… named Detroit News All-Metro North… Detroit Free Press ranked him the 23rd best prospect in the state of Michigan… still evolving as a player as he has played only three years of organized football.
