2015: Moved into the Bulls closer role and elevated his game to another level during his sophomore campaign, appearing in 18 games... he finished the season with a team-best five saves while striking out 58 batters in 43.1 innings pitched... the hard-throwing righty went 1-3 with a 3.32 ERA while holding his opponents to a .177 batting average against... earned his first win of the season against Bucknell (2/28) as he went 3.1 innings, allowing no hits and whiffing a career-high seven batters... earned his first three-inning save of the season against Dayton (3/8) as he went 3.0 innings of hitless ball while striking out three batters... pitched a career-high 4.2 innings against Central Michigan (4/19), striking out four batters and allowing four hits... held 13 of 18 opponents to no runs scored while on the mound... collected at least two strikeouts in 15 of 18 games he pitched in... he pitched more than an inning in four of his five saves as a sophomore... held eight of 18 opponents to zero hits.
2014: Was the Bulls best relief pitcher as he appeared in 16 games while making one start as a redshirt freshman... Earned a 4-1 overall record while compiling a 0.82 ERA in 33.0 innings of action... his 0.82 ERA gives him the second best ERA for a season in program history... Earned a win against Ohio (5/3) after pitching 3.2 innings and striking out four batters... Pitched a season-high 4.1 innings against Akron (4/27), striking out a season-best four batters... Earned his first career save against Miami (OH), pitching 0.2 innings and lowering his season ERA to 0.82 on 11 pitches... Struck out 20 batters while allowing just three earned runs on the year...He finished off his impressive freshman campaign with one save and allowing his opponents to a .214 batting average.
2013: Made five appearances and threw 8.1 innings before suffering a season-ending injury... took a redshirt and will have four years of eligibility starting in 2014.
High School: Honorable Mention All-WNY... two-time First Team ECIC III All-Star... earned a spot on the Amherst Bee’s All-Bee Team as a senior after a stellar all-around senior season... as a pitcher, he gave up no earned runs in five of the eight league games he pitched, which helped lead to his 1.70 ERA... struck out 97 batters, the second most in school history for a single season... as a hitter he batted .474 in league play and .714 during the playoffs... finished his three-year varsity career with a .448 batting average, which is the highest career average in the last 26 years... also collected a school career record 17 doubles, had eight triples (third all-time in career standings) and 206 career strikeouts (second all-time in career standings).
