For Prospective Student Athletes
High School, Junior College, Prep School Athletes and those in the NCAA transfer portal
Thinking about becoming an NCAA Division I student-athlete at UB? Here are some things you need to know...
The NCAA has requirements for high school classes and grade point average for all Division I incoming freshmen athletes. Be sure you know the
rules!
If you are a Division I or II transfer, UB Athletics staff and coaches cannot speak to you unless you have an active record in the NCAA transfer portal. Please do not reach out unless you're in the transfer portal. For more information: https://www.ncaa.org/sports/2015/2/13/want-to-transfer.aspx

Initial Eligibility and the NCAA Eligibility Center
Every incoming freshman student-athlete must register and be certified by the NCAA in order to practice, compete and receive an athletic scholarship at the Division I or II level. Click on the link to visit the Eligibility Center site to register and get more information on the Division I academic requirements. BE SURE TO CHOOSE THE "AMATEURISM AND ELIGIBILITY ACCOUNT"--A FREE PROFILE ACCOUNT IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR RECRUITING PURPOSES.
