Four Bulls Advance to Day Two at MAC Championships

BUFFALO, NY – Four Bulls advanced to day two of the Mid-American Conference Wrestling Championships, following action held at Alumni Arena on Friday. Tyler Roark, Sam Ewing, Kaleb Burgess and Magnus Bibla will all battle for spots on the podium tomorrow.

Zachary Belverio dropped a 12-2 major decision to Drew Davis of SIUE in his first match. He then lost to Bloomsburg's Jace Shafer in his first consolation bout.

Max Elton dropped a decision to Gable Strickland of Lock Haven in his first match of the day. He then dropped a close 4-3 decision to Kent State's Nick Molchak.

Tyler Roark, competing in his first MAC Championships, came out of the gate with a 8-0 major decision victory over Bloomsburg's Richie Woods. After falling to two-seed Wyatt Henson of Lock Haven in the quarterfinals, he rebounded to defeat Landen Duncan of Kent State, 3-0, to stay alive on the backside.

Sam Ewing earned a first-round bye but then lost to two-seed Lucas Kapusta of Lock Haven in the quarterfinals. He rebounded in a big way with a 14-2 major decision over Kent State's Silas Stits in the consolation bracket.
