
Three Bulls Named to Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, TX – Three former University at Buffalo football players have been named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society – comprised of college football players who maintained a cumulative 3.2 or better grade point average throughout their college career Shaun Dolac, C.J. Ogbonna and Dom Polizzi were all named, marking the 13th time in the last 14 years a UB player has made the prestigious list.
Dolac capped his stellar UB career by being named a Consensus All-American in 2024. He led the nation in tackles with a school-record 168 and added 18.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and five interceptions. He is a three-time Academic All-MAC selection and graduated with a degree in communication.
Ogbonna started all 13 games at quarterback for the Bulls in 2024. He threw for 2,381 yards and 19 touchdowns on the season as well as rushed for 343 yards and eight scores. A communication major, Ogbonna was also an Academic All-MAC and Academic All-District selection in 2024.
Polizzi was honored by the National Football Foundation for the second straight season. A five-time Academic All-MAC selection, Polizzi started all 13 games at center for the Bulls in 2024. A history major, Polizzi was also an Academic All-District selection this past season.
In order to be eligible for membership into the honor society, a player must be a senior who will graduate this spring/summer and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2024 or a graduated player, who has been out of high school at least three years. The player must have attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale) and been a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2024 season.
