Glowacka Named MAC Singles Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo women's tennis freshman Maria Glowacka was named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
It is the first weekly honor for Glowacka and the Bulls this season.
The Torin, Poland native had another big weekend as she went 3-0 in her matches for the second straight week to improve to 6-0 on the semester. On Friday, she won 6-4, 6-3 at second singles to lead UB to a 6-1 road victory at Youngstown State. She then moved up to the first singles position over the weekend, defeating Skidmore 6-3, 6-3 and Rochester 6-2, 6-1 to help lead the Bulls to a pair of 7-0 sweeps.
Glowacka and the Bulls will remain home for a pair of matches as they host St. Bonaventure on Friday, February 14 before welcoming Oakland to town on Saturday, February 15. Both matches will be held at the Miller Tennis Center at 12:30pm.
