
17 Bulls Named Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, OH – Seventeen members of the University at Buffalo football team were named to the 2025 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, the league announced on Wednesday. It's the second most in program history.
The honorees are highlighted by six players who have been multiple-year selections. Red Murdock was named for the third time. Messiah Burch, Dion Crawford, Jerrod Gentry, Junior Poyser and Andrew Schnackenberg were honored for the second straight year.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
