Drennan Named Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week

BUFFALO, NY - The Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award named University at Buffalo punter Dylan Drennan the Week Six Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week. Drennan was chosen from Ray's 8, announced Monday.
The redshirt-freshman from Dallas, TX recorded five punts with a net average of 56.6 yards in Buffalo's 31-30 overtime victory over Eastern Michigan. Drennan had three punts downed inside the 20-yard line, including one at the one-yard line, one at the six and one at the eight. His longest punt of the day traveled 76-yards, a career-best.
Drennan ranks second in the Mid-American Conference in punting, averaging 46.3 yards per punt. Of his 30 punts, seven have sailed over 50 yards and nine have been downed inside the 20-yard line.
He is the first UB punter to win the award.
Following a bye week, Drennan and the Bulls are back in action at UMass on October 18.
