
Three Bulls Selected to CSC Academic All-District Team

BUFFALO, NY – Three members of the University at Buffalo football team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Red Murdock, C.J. Ogbonna and Dom Polizzi were all selected to the team and will now be placed on the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
The Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced January 28.
Murdock, a psychology major, was selected to the Academic All-District Team for the second straight year. The redshirt-sophomore linebacker finished the season ranked second in the nation in tackles with 156 and added 16.5 tackles for loss and a school-record seven forced fumbles.
A communication major, Ogbonna started all 13 games at quarterback for the Bulls. He threw for 2,381 yards and 19 touchdowns and added 343 rushing yards and eight scores.
Polizzi is a history major who started all 13 games at center this season. The Brockport, NY native is a four-time Academic All-MAC selection.
