
Four Bulls Named to All-MAC Team

BUFFALO, NY – Four University at Buffalo football players were named to the All-Mid-American Conference football team, the league announced on Wednesday.
Safety Devin Grant was named to the first team. Left tackle Gabe Wallace, right guard Tyler Doty and kick returner Ron Cook, Jr. were named to the third team.
Grant had a breakout season for the Bulls in 2023. The sophomore safety had 79 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a MAC-best five interceptions, three pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. He also blocked a field goal and a punt on the season. Following the Bulls' win over Central Michigan, he was named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for his three-interception, two pick-six performance against the Chippewas.
Wallace was named All-MAC Third Team for the second straight season. He started all 12 games on the offensive line, beginning the season at guard before moving to left tackle. Wallace finished his career by starting all 37 games over the last three seasons.
Doty was a first-time selection to the All-MAC team. The junior from Gasport, NY started all 12 games at right guard.
Cook was named to the All-MAC Third Team as a kick returner for the third time in his career. He finished his career as the Bulls all-time leader in kick return yards with 1,711.
