Turnovers Costly in Loss to Eastern Michigan

BUFFALO, NY – Turnovers cost the University at Buffalo football team in a 24-11 loss to Eastern Michigan on a rainy Tuesday night at UB Stadium. Eastern Michigan was able to capitalize on three UB fumbles to spoil Buffalo's Senior Night.
All three of Buffalo's fumbles came in the first half, helping the Eagles jump out to 24-0 lead at the half. The Bulls defense shut down the Eagles in the second half, keeping EMU off the scoreboard.
Ron Cook, Jr. got the Bulls on the board with a six-yard touchdown run with 4:45 left in the third quarter. Cole Snyder connected with Cameron Ball for the two-point conversion to cut the Eastern Michigan lead to 24-8.
Alex McNulty's 40-yard field goal, midway through the fourth quarter, made the score 24-11. It was the final game of McNulty's career. He finished as the programs all-time leader in field goals (60), extra points (189) and scoring (369).
Snyder threw for 135 yards in the game to lead the offense. Marlyn Johnson had four catches for 80 yards, including a 39-yard catch. Darrell Harding, Jr. had two catches for 62 yards, including a 37-yard grab.
Cook finished with 43 yards on the ground. CJ Ogbonna also rushed for 43 yards on only six carries for a 7.2-yard average.
On defense, Devin Grant tied a career high with 11 tackles, including a career-best 10 solo stops. Joe Andreessen, playing in his final game as a Bull, had a career-high 11 tackles and added a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. Red Murdock also had a career-high with 10 tackles and added a tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
Buffalo finished the season with a record of 3-9.
