Bulls Drop Heartbreaker to Holy Cross, 37-31

UB kicker Alex McNulty drilled a 52-yard field goal, with 31 seconds left, to tie the game, 31-31. However, the Crusaders had enough time to work the ball to midfield before completing the long TD pass.
The loss spoiled an impressive performance by the Buffalo offense, especially through the air. Quarterback Cole Snyder threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite targets were wide receivers Quian Williams and Justin Marshall.
Williams had eight catches for 105 yards and a career-long 59-yard touchdown. Marshall had five receptions for 116 yards and two scores, including a 69-yard touchdown.
Mike Washington was UB's leading rusher with 55 yards on 12 carries and had a five-yard touchdown run to help UB build a 21-7 lead in the second quarter.
The defense was led by linebacker Shaun Dolac who had a career-high 15 tackles and a sack. Fellow linebacker James Patterson added 11 tackles and a tackle for loss.
The Bulls will next play at Coastal Carolina next Saturday.
