Williams Named to Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo wide receiver Quian Williams was named to the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List on Thursday morning, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced. The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the outstanding receiver in college football. Williams is one of five players from the Mid-American Conference on the list.
Williams has made an immediate impact since joining the Bulls prior to the 2021 campaign. He had a team-best 64 receptions for 835 yards and two touchdowns last season, his first with the Bulls. His 64 catches tied for eighth in program history for a single season.
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver, not merely college football's outstanding wide receiver.
The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 640 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.
