
Toni Naccarella Completes NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - University at Buffalo women's swimmer Toni Naccarella wrapped up her 2021 NCAA Championship run on Saturday afternoon. Naccarella was the Bulls' first swimmer to make it to the NCAA Championships since Megan Burns in 2017.
The junior swimmer swam in the 50-yard freestyle on Thursday morning where she finished third in her heat with a time of 22.70-seconds. Placing third, she beat three swimmers from Florida State and one from both Virginia and Alabama. Out of the total of 62 swimmers for the event, Naccarella finished 47th overall.
On Saturday morning Naccarella competed in the 100-yard freestyle. She finished the event in a time of 49.22-seconds. Her time was tied for 43rd place out of 60 NCAA Championship swimmers.

The Bulls will take on the Cleveland State Vikings on Saturday, March 27 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day. The dual meet will take place in the Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium. The Bulls were originally scheduled to square off against the Eastern Michigan University Eagles.
