
Seven Bulls Named to 2021 All-MAC Football Team

BUFFALO, NY – Seven University at Buffalo football players were named to the All-Mid-American Conference football team, the league announced on Wednesday.
Linebacker James Patterson was named to the first team. Left tackle Jake Fuzak and defensive lineman Daymond Williams were named to the second team. Running back Dylan McDuffie, wide receiver Quian Williams, offensive lineman Jack Klenk and kick returner Ron Cook, Jr. were named to the third team.
Patterson is a first-team selection for the second straight season. The senior linebacker led the Bulls and ranked second in the MAC in tackles with a career-best 116. He added a team-high 13 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.
Fuzak is an All-MAC pick for the second straight season. He was also named All-MAC Second Team last year. The Williamsville native started all 12 games at left tackle after playing right tackle last season. He helped pave the way for a unit that ranked fourth in the MAC in rushing offense, averaging 195.5 yards per game.
Daymond Williams was a strong addition to the defensive line this season after transferring from Cisco College. He led the Bulls and ranked sixth in the MAC in sacks with 6.5. He added 46 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss while playing both defensive tackle and defensive end.
McDuffie had a breakout season for the Bulls, rushing for a career-best 1,049 yards and 11 touchdowns. His rushing total was the 10th best single season output in program history. He added 14 receptions for 123 yards and another score.
Quian Williams made an immediate impact at wide receiver in his first season since transferring from Eastern Michigan. He had a team-best 64 receptions for 835 yards and two touchdowns. His 64 catches tied for eighth in program history for a single season.
Klenk, a veteran of the offensive line was honored for the first time. In his sixth year, Klenk started every game over the last two seasons at offensive guard. Also a standout in the classroom, he is a two-time Academic All-MAC selection as well as 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District pick.
Cook was named All-MAC Third Team as a kick returner for the second straight season. The junior Washington, D.C. native had 28 returns for 587 yards on the season.
The Bulls finished the 2021 season with a 4-8 record.
