
Klenk Named to Academic All-District Team

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo offensive lineman Jack Klenk has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Klenk graduated summa cum laude with a degrees in communication and social science interdisciplinary in February while carrying a grade point average of 3.82. He is currently in graduate school, working towards a master's degree in real estate development.
Klenk is a two-time Academic All-MAC selection. He earned the 2021 MAC Medal of Excellence - awarded annually to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each of the 12 Conference member institutions. In September, he was named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy – also known as the Academic Heisman.
On the field, the Pittsford, NY native in his second season as a starter at offensive guard for the Bulls. He started all seven games last season as well as every game this season. In 2020, his offensive line unit was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the top offensive line in the country.
Klenk is the 12th player in program history to be named to the Academic All-District Team. He will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in December.
