Vantrease Named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo quarterback Kyle Vantrease was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday following his career-best performance against Miami (OH). It's the second straight week a UB player has won the award as running back Jaret Patterson won the award following the opener against Northern Illinois.
Vantrease threw for a career-high 353 yards and four touchdowns in Buffalo's 42-10 win over Miami (OH) on Tuesday night. Vantrease had passing touchdowns of 82, 78, 25 and five yards. The junior signal-caller was perfect in the second half, going 9-for-9 for 229 yards and three touchdowns.
Vantrease leads the MAC in passing, averaging 292 yards through two games. His six passing touchdowns are also tied for the conference lead.
It marks the second time in his career Vantrease has won the award. He also took home the honor following the Bulls' win over Eastern Michigan last season.
Vantrease and the Bulls will next play at Bowling Green on Tuesday night at 7 pm.
