BUFFALO, NY - Balanced Body Foods, a meal preparation company with five Buffalo area pickup locations has signed on to be the official meal preparation company of University at Buffalo athletics, the school announced Wednesday.
Over the past three years, UB Football, UB Basketball and a variety of other teams have worked with Balanced Body Foods on meal creation and weekly orders to improve the on-field performance.
"Balanced Body Foods has been an incredible resource for our program and our athletes here at Buffalo," said Matt Gildersleeve, Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach. "They offer a unique product which gives our student-athletes an opportunity to fuel their bodies with healthy food, a wide variety of options, and flexibility that fits into our athletes highly demanding schedules. Our relationship has, and will continue to create an environment of good nutrition in our athletic department. "
The multi-media marketing campaign will include brand presence in UB Stadium and Alumni Arena, digital presence through UBBulls.com and the opportunity to provide samples to fans at select games.
"Our partnership with UB Athletics has proven to be a great decision," said Ashley Draper, Owner of Balanced Body Foods, "We have enjoyed working with the coaches and student-athletes to fuel their bodies with nutritional and delicious food and watching them thrive in and out of games. The relationship has opened many doors for Balanced Body and has broadened our outreach in the community as well."
Additionally, the launch of this partnership and all subsequent years will feature a "12 Days of Balance" initiative where Balanced Body Foods and UB Athletics will both give away prizes to UB fans during each of the first 12 days of December through social media.
Bulls Sports Properties, the university's athletics multimedia rights holder and locally based Learfield IMG College team, manages the Balanced Body Foods relationship on behalf of UB Athletics.
