Quota-BULLS
Head Coach Lance Leipold:
"I am very proud of the team. I think a lot of people counted this group out and we had our backs against the wall. We battled hard and had a great second half effort. When you look at what has happened over the first two weeks, things haven't looked as good as we would have hoped. To see us battle back and put it into overtime and find a way to win, made me very proud of these players and assistant coaches."
On Tyree Jackson:
"Tyree was very confident in himself, as were a lot of our guys, on that last drive. For Tyree to lead that tying drive was something that he can build on as we continue on this season. I am very impressed by Tyree because he never had a moment of panic or confusion which are great building blocks that you want a young quarterback to work with."
Mason Schreck
On Tyree Jackson:
"It's awesome for him to come in and play like that as a redshirt freshman and lead us the way he did. This win feels so great because the future of UB football is in really good hands with Tyree."
Tyree Jackson
On big plays:
"Marcus McGill and Mason Schreck made me look good tonight. The seniors just won't accept losing and they proved that tonight."
On 4th and 9 play:
"Mason is a great player. Not many people make plays like that on 4th and 9 with the game on the line, but he came through with a great play."
Adam Mitcheson
On gamewinner:
"I am always put through those situations during the week of practice, so I just cleared my head and did my job."
On celebration:
"I didn't really know what to do, I just took off."
Brandon Crawford
"I think this is the start of something special."
