
Men's Soccer Set to Take On The Seawolves On Thursday

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men's soccer team hits the road on Thursday for a non-conference match against the Stony Brook Seawolves at 7:00 pm. The Bulls enter the match with a 3-4-1 overall record.
The Bulls are coming off of a 2-2 tie last time out against the Niagara Purple Eagles behind goals from Braden Scales and Russell Cicerone. Following the match, the Bulls and Purple Eagles competed in a shootout to see who was awarded the Big 4 Shield and the Bulls won to retain the shield.
Buffalo is led offensively by two-time All-MAC performer Russell Cicerone who has notched five goals and three assists for a team-best 13 points while Marshall transfer Scott Doney ranks second on the team with three goals and three assists. Marcus Hanson is having a nice season as a facilitator as he has notched a career-best five assists and Steven Stryker has chipped in with a career-high three assists and a goal. In goal, Cameron Hogg owns a 1.24 goals-against average in six starts while Joseph Kuta has a 1.35 goals-against average in his two starts.
The Seawolves enter Thursday's match with a 2-4-1 overall record after losing 2-1 to Villanova last time out. They are led offensively by Martin Giordano who has recorded three goals and two assists while Vince Erdei has notched two goals and two assists for six points. In goal, Jason Orban has started all seven matches and owns a 1.50 goals-against average to go along with two cleansheets.
The Bulls have dominated the all-time series with the Seawolves as they own a 7-3-0 record through their 10 meetings. The Seawolves defeated UB 4-0 at home the last time the two sides meet in 2012.
UB will return home on Sunday for a 5:00 pm kickoff against the Cornell Big Red at UB Stadium.
