UB Men's Soccer To Embark On Tour Of England On Friday

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men's soccer program is excited and prepared for their pre-season 10-day Tour of England which begins on Friday. The Bulls fly out of Buffalo at 6:00 pm on Friday and will return from their trip on Sunday, March 22.
"I can't tell you how excited my staff and I are to be leading the team on this tour of England," explained head coach Stu Riddle. "It's going to be a monumental experience for these young men and I have absolutely no doubt that we will all benefit greatly from this magnificent opportunity."
Over the Bulls 10-day journey to the UK, they will have stops in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham and St. Georges Park. The Bulls will visit various English Premier League Stadiums while attending two EPL matches and two English Football League Championship matches. In addition to competing against highly-competitive English club teams, the Bulls will be able to sightsee throughout the country. The trip will also include a tour of St. Georges Park, the training facility of the England National team.
In addition to the prospect of being trained by some of the top academy coaches across the world, the trip will also provide the men's soccer program with increased exposure in one of the greatest soccer countries in the world. The opportunity to train and take in the high level of soccer matches in England is an opportunity that will never be forgotten by the players and will help the soccer program prosper into a national power.
The Bulls will be participating in four matches while in England with their first match taking place on Sunday, March 15 as they will take on Hayes & Yeading FC. The Bulls will then compete against Barnet FC Academy on Tuesday, March 17, Stoke City U21 on Thursday, March 19 and First Point USA on Friday, March 20.
The team will also be attending English Premier League matches, Chelsea vs. Southampton and Manchester City vs. West Brom. They will also be attending a pair of English Football League Championship matches, Wolverhampton vs. Wanderers and Nottingham Forest vs. Rotherham.
