
Branden Oliver Named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo running back Branden Oliver was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week, after a career day in a win over Ohio last Tuesday. The honor his Oliver's third of the season, and he is the ninth weekly honoree for UB this season.
Oliver rushed for a career-high 249 yards and two touchdowns in the 30-3 win over Ohio. Oliver broke the school's Division I era single-game rushing record with his 249 yards on 34 carries (7.3 avg.). Oliver scored Buffalo's first two touchdowns of the game with a 2-yard and 13-yard score. With his effort, Oliver passed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season, and he is now averaging 185.6 yards per game in conference action.
The Bulls are 7-2 overall and sit atop the MAC East Division standings with a 5-0 mark. UB will play at Toledo Tuesday night in another nationally televised game, to be shown on ESPNU.
