BUFFALO, NY - The Buffalo baseball coaching staff has announced four winter camps for December, to be held at the North Amherst Recreation Center. The camps will cover general skills, hitting, pitching, and catching. Also included will be a prospect camp for all high school and junior college players.
On December 27 and 28 from 9 am to noon, a holiday skill camp will be held for kids between the ages of six and 12. It will be followed the next day (Dec. 29) with the prospect camp, running from 11 am to 4 pm. It will be open to all high school and junior college aged players and will offer quality instruction from the UB coaching staff, while giving prospects an opportunity to display their abilities and talents through a professional style workout. The cost to attend this session will be $80.
Finally there will be two camps held on Dec. 30, starting at 9 am with a hitting clinic. It will be open for athletes age 12-18 and will run until noon. The pitching and catching clinic will start at 1 pm and goes until 4 pm. Those who plan to attend should bring their gloves, gym shoes and bat. Catchers should also bring their gear if possible. The two separate camps cost $50, but those interested in attending both can register for just $85 for the two. Other packages available are the prospect camp and either the hitting or pitching/catching camp for $115, or attend all three camps (prospect hitting and pitching/catching) for $150.
