BUFFALO, NY - Phil Steele has released his Midseason All‑Mid-American Conference Team, including four Bulls in his conference list and one on his national All American team. Branden Oliver and Alex Neutz made the offensive teams while Khalil Mack and Najja Johnson earned defensive nods.
Branden Oliver is a first team midseason All MAC honoree after rushing for 679 yards and eight touchdowns through the first six games. Alex Neutz is a member of the third team thanks to team highs of 373 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.
On the defensive side of the ball, defensive back Najja Johnson was named to the second team All-MAC defensive team. The former walk-on has made a successful transition into the starting secondary, leading the MAC in pass breakups (10) and adding 23 tackles. Fellow sophomore Khalil Mack was named to the first team on defense, thanks to his 40 tackles (14 for loss), 3.5 sacks and an interception. Mack also earned a spot on Steele's Midseason All-American fourth team on defense, becoming one of only four MAC players to appear on both lists.
The quartet will be in action Saturday as the team heads to Temple for a 1 pm kickoff. Fans can catch the game on 1230 WECK Buffalo or 1280/107.3 WHTK Rochester.
