BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo football team will play the first of three straight road games and the second straight road contest against a BCS opponent when it travels to Connecticut on Saturday afternoon to take on the Huskies.
Buffalo is 1-2 on the season and is coming off a 24-10 loss to UCF last Saturday. Despite the 14-point loss, the Bulls' defense continued to play well – holding the Knights to 288 yards of total offense.
Head Coach Jeff Quinn is hoping for more consistent play out of his team and looking to eliminate the critical errors that have hurt the Bulls this season.
Buffalo will face a Connecticut team that might be 1-2, but Quinn knows will be a tough task for the Bulls.
"They are going to be as good a football team as we will face all year," Quinn said.
The Huskies feature one of the best running backs in the nation. Jordan Todman ranks fourth in the country in rushing – averaging 149.3 yards per game.
Saturday's game will be a rematch of the 2009 International Bowl when Connecticut downed Buffalo, 38-20. The Huskies lead the all-time series, 13-4.
